There are certain days when a woman’s body simply seeks deep rest—and this is one of those times in the month.
Some of my friends feel comfortable using tampons and even go swimming during their periods—but that’s not something I choose for myself. I’ve never felt at ease with tampons, and I prefer to listen to what my body feels comfortable with.
When a woman’s menstruation aligns with the moon’s natural rhythm—especially during the dark, still nights of the New Moon—a deep, primal energy awakens within. It’s as if the body and the cosmos speak the same language. Sensitivity heightens, intuition sharpens, and sensual energy stirs more intensely, echoing the mystery of the moonless sky or may be its the beginning of another new moon.
However, in today’s world, with constant exposure to artificial light, processed foods, and disrupted sleep patterns, many women find their natural cycles falling out of sync with the lunar rhythm. The connection gets blurred, and the wisdom of the body becomes harder to hear.
Reconnecting with nature—its light, its timing, its nourishment—can slowly restore that ancient alignment.
My maternal grandfather was a priest, a deeply spiritual soul who recited the Vishnu Sahasranamam in temple sanctums before sunrise and guided many on the path to experience Tat-Tvam-Asi on Sabarimala Hill - Temple. His devotion shaped my own connection with the divine.
During this time, the body is more open, energy flows differently, and sensual desires—especially sexual ones—can naturally arise with greater intensity. Prayer, to me, is all about balance. When that inner balance is delicate or disrupted, stepping away from the puja space is an act of reverence and not related to any kind of Impurity. My sexual desires rise during this time and therefore i step away from Prayer.
DEI Enthu - In that moment, Nature becomes my temple—the sky my shelter, the earth my altar—and as I bleed on the beach, I dance in devotion for my beloved, Lord Vishnu. There is no shame here, only sacredness. My body, in all its power and tenderness, becomes the prayer.
Yes, it may seem like a simple or even “silly” dream—but I’ve learned to honour these small, wild dreams. They often carry the most honest, unfiltered pieces of who we are—and remind us that being fully ourselves is the most sacred act of all.
Thats not Me - But I want to dance that way on the beach !
