This is My Reset !

Today, I took a deep dive, quite literally, back into the pool after 9 years.

Since relocating to India in 2015, I hadn’t dived in, and though I attempted in 2020, the pool closures due to pandemic put a halt to my plans.

It had been 9 years since I last set foot near a pool. Life had swept me away with its relentless waves—career ; conflicts !

I embarked on a journey to find myself and spent 4 years lost in the depths of my own soul !

Finally found myself  !
Tat-Tvam-Asi : You are that which you seek !
The inner currents I navigated were far more relentless than any flow of water.

I'm not an expert swimmer like my mother, who used to swim to school in Alappuzha even during the rain—her stories of fearless strokes always inspire me. But I'm determined to change that. With a coach who, impressively, once led as head coach at the Michael Phelps Swimming School, I’m setting out to elevate my swimming skills.

The minute i put myself in water ; I couldn’t help but feel a rush of emotions, wanting to let out a cry that carried the weight of stress and time lost. But in that moment, I realized this is my reset.

The pool, with its endless blue, felt like a safe space where the weight on my mind could finally float away. This time Iam determined not to let anything stop me from swimming.

Being in that moment reminded me that sometimes, we need to let go to find ourselves again.

So, here's to relearning after 9 years to releasing, and to letting the water teach me not just how to swim again but how to breathe amidst life's currents.

I’m ready to commit, to let the water be my space of growth and freedom, ensuring that this time, by the end of Summer 2025, I do a water adventure, staying continuously connected to it without pause and beyond, so that I never forget the art of swimming.

Society will always have much to say about an unmarried woman who remains a virgin—that’s just its nature. But to weather this storm, you must trust the water: trust yourself and your journey.

Only If you trust - looking forward to an Interaction with my true self.

Implies that facing challenges or turbulent times requires a deep acceptance of and confidence in your environment.  Trusting the water means embracing the circumstances, letting go of resistance, and moving with the natural currents instead of fighting against them. It's about believing in your resilience and adaptability, understanding that surrendering to the experience can lead to navigating through the chaos safely.

Those of you who want to practice swimming in water near Bengaluru ; Mekedatu alongside river Cauvery is the best place !

Mekedatu ! The water here glistens in shades of green.

Translation of the song : The water shimmers in emerald green, and there you stand, a vision of grace in your emerald green saree. Tell me, who are you waiting for, queen of the tranquil green waters?

Filmed at Mekedatu !

The photo was captured by me back in 2018.
