In Japan there is a Zen Golden Temple ; It is called as Kinkaku-Ji 金閣寺
Zen Golden Temple is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Pictures taken by me !
The Pond is called as MIRROR POND !
The Temple stands as a symbol of Compassion !
The temple is dedicated to Goddess of Mercy - Kannon.
Kannon is the Female Goddess of Mercy in Japan, China and Korea.
Zen Values :
Genuine Sympathy = Iam sorry that you are suffering but i cant assist you.
Fake Sympathy = Assisting someone or rather exploiting someone's NEEDS to alleviate one's own suffering. Here both the parties exploit and assist each other's needs to alleviate their own suffering.
Empathy = I feel your Suffering.
Compassion = I relieve you from your Suffering.
Diluting the Definition of KINDNESS to merely meeting MATERIAL NEEDS results in FAKE SYMPATHY. Material Suffering could be lack of Wealth ; Food ; Sex !
Sympathy = Outcome of the reduced definition of KINDNESS !
Is fulfillment of Someone's CRAVING for Food / Sex = Kindness ?
Or Assisting and exploiting someone's need to fulfill your own needs is Kindness ?
Fake Sympathy which is a Consequence of DIMINISHED KINDNESS implies that it endures only until the time there is a MUTUAL AGREEMENT. However, the dynamics changes when DISAGREEMENT arises, that is when fake sympathy then turns into CRUELTY.
In March 2018,amidst the backdrop of Indian Society, my Marital Status alone became the focal point, invoking FAKE SYMPATHY upon me often mislabeled as KINDNESS.
I never sought anyone's assistance; society attempted to impose its version of DILUTED KINDNESS upon me, subtly driven by their own sexual desires.
Imagine someone attempting to put the need for wealth and money into your brain only to satisfy their own sexual needs ? Testing ?
Are they suffering from some kind of insecurities ? Surely there are much better ways to release their INSECURITIES.
While one man deprived me of the opportunities to satisfy the material desires of another person ; another man proposed sustenance in exchange of sexual favours !
Despite these challenges, i remained steadfast in my values and principles and retained my values ;
However - I grappled with the overwhelming urge for revenge, fueled by anger.
ANGER is the 3rd step of the Holy 18 Steps at Sabarimala Temple !
In the Journey of Self Discovery - A Devotee must tread these Holy 18 steps alone without anybody's assistance.
I Recall the moment when my father despite letting go of my hand at the sacred 18 steps of SELF-DISCOVERY, made sure that I ascended first ! He was behind me, waiting for me to experience tat-tvam-asi before he embarked on the ascent himself !
Translation : Every Step you take is reflected in my gaze !
Its the same feeling what you see in the video that I experienced when Story Teller showed Compassion towards me in the face of false accusations !
It helped me arrive at TAT-TVAM-ASI !
This is called as COMPASSION !
