Let me introduce you all to Gaussian Distribution !
Gaussian Distribution = Normal Distribution.
This is the first Distribution Fitting that i tried on the data when i started my Data Science Career about 16 years ago.

Example of Gaussian Distribution ;
In an organization - Lets create a table with 3 columns with NAME and AGE of each employee in a time series format. Now calculate the Mean / Average Age.
Now for every employee calculate the Standard Deviation (Deviation from Mean) in the 3 rd Coloumn.
You will observe that 99.7% of the Age lies between Plus 3 or Minus 3 Standard Deviation.
However ; 0.3% lies outside the Plus 3 or Minus 3 Standard Deviation.
This is called Gaussian Distribution.
This can be applied to most of the Business Models.
THE NORMAL CURVE !
Most of the people are applying this Model to Real life which is wrong.
I suggest you all to read this book called THE BLACK SWAN.

Summary of the THE BLACK SWAN :
ONE single event can INVALIDATE a GENERALIZED STATEMENT derived from Millennia of confirmatory sightings.
Thousands and Thousands of Instances of ONE THING does NOT DISPROVE THE OTHER.
That 0.3% which we tend to IGNORE in a NORMAL DISTRIBUTION = BLACK SWAN !
Data Science is based on APPROXIMATION THEORY in most cases ; but this theory cannot be applied to HUMAN BEHAVIOR.
Lets take a HYPOTHETICAL EXAMPLE : POSH AT WORK PLACE.
The day we are capable of accepting the 0.3% as a REAL STORY (and not SOB STORY) - We can bring CHANGE ! Lets not be a MEDIOCRE !
APPROXIMATION & NORMALIZATION is not applicable in REAL LIFE.
Most of the people LIVE their entire life IMPRESSING OTHERS.
Lets take a theoretical example :
Management Hope = An ELEPHANT is asked to CLIMB.
The High Hope of the Management !
Self-Respect is about SETTING A BOUNDARY and ENFORCING IT.
Men of Lust are looking for a trade. All they want is a SKILL DEFICIT which can be POTENTIALLY TRADED with. What happens when Management come up with such STUPID HOPES ?
If it is an EMERGENCY - It can be ACCEPTED only if it comes from People who RESPECT you.
You have the right not to be BULLIED ; MARGINALIZED ; or HEAD-LOCKED into delivering IMPOSSIBLE EXPECTATIONS (Management Hopes).
In a POWER DOMINATED CULTURE - Most of the people even if the HOPES weigh heavy on them ; even if they know they cannot accomplish these HOPES ; they find it hard to push these Hopes away because it comes from PEOPLE WITH POWER.
This cycle needs to be BROKEN and each and everyone has the POWER to do that.
Once you have done that go back and help everyone else who needs HELP.
In your Life your PASSION should come FIRST - and Everything else should be SECONDARY only then you can live a FULFILLED LIFE.
When you SELF-RESPECT ; You are setting EXPECTATIONS about HOW PEOPLE ARE SUPPOSE TO TREAT YOU ! You should set expectations about WHAT MANAGEMENT CAN HOPE FROM
YOU !

You will be SUPERSEDED by Technology only if your RATE OF GROWTH OF BIOLOGICAL EVOLUTION is LOWER than the RATE OF GROWTH OF TECHNOLOGY
