Happy International Tea Day !

On this day - I want to introduce you all to my PASSION - SULEIMANI CHAI !
Sulaimani/Suleimani  Chai is a BLACK TEA without MILK ; made of SPICES ; Cinnamon, Cardamom, Cloves, Ginger and a dash of Lemon ! You may also find basil leaf within.

You must have it from a Kerala - Malabar Restaurant !

A Beautiful Quote praising Suleimani Chai :
"Oro sulaimanilum oru ithri mohabbat venam. Athu kudikumbol lokam ingane padhikke vannu nikyanam".
Translation : "A little bit of love should be added to every sulaimani you serve. When one has that, the Sea should come to a standstill".

It is believed that ; Every Sip of Suleimani Chai can bring Waves of Emotions inside your Soul. These Waves of Emotions that arise in your heart is compared with the Waves of Arabian Sea.

The story behind - The Great Suleimani Chai !

Suleimani Chai is a  product of MALABAR COAST mainly the MARAKKAR !
Marakkar is the South Asian Muslim Community found in Malabar Coast (Kerala).
The community trace their ancestry between Arab Muslim Spice Traders and Coastal Women of India. The Arab traders who arrived India for Trade brought Islamic Values and Traditions with them and spread their culture by intermarrying the local women.
This is the pattern that appears to have survived to this day in Kerala.

Marakkar  is credited with organizing the FIRST NAVAL DEFENSE of the INDIAN COAST.
Marakkar's are not only famous for Sulaimani Chai ; they are called as - "Arabikadalinde Simham' meaning "The Lion of the Arabian Sea".
