Mohiniyattam is the divine classical dance form of Kerala.

Mundum Neriyatum is the dress of Mohiniyattam dance practitioners.
Mohiniyattam gets its name from the word MOHINI which was one of the avatar of Lord Vishnu who introduced the dance form.
Mohiniyattam thus means "The dance of an enchantress - A beautiful woman".

Mohiniyattam is a divine spiritual concept - It is interaction of energies within oneself.
It is the dance of the twirl of energies between the Musculine and Feminine within oneself and not 2 persons.
Here i present Mohiniyattam with a traditional Kerala Mundum !

Mohiniyattam is about the TWIRL of both masculine and feminine energy present within each one of us. Example :
If you are a Male and you want to be empathetic towards me who is a female.
You have to be in union with yourself first (united with both masculine and feminine energies) to be in the same bandwidth as me.
Mohiniyattam is about achieving fullness in life. Mohiniyattam is about the BALANCE of feminine and masculine energies within our-self.

You as a Male ; If you are not in Union with your feminine energy you will never be able to RESPECT WOMEN ; at the same time you will lack the feminine energies like Compassion ; Empathy ; Sympathy towards human beings or animal/plant kingdom.

KOTTICHETHAM is a beautiful Mohiniyattam song ;
It is about Lord Shiva's Tossing matted hair and the Goddess Uma within him being a picture of composure.The pointers are towards Lord Shiva as Ardhanarashwara.
Ardhanareshwara is not about Half Male and Half  Female - It is about the fusion of masculine and feminine energies not just between 2 people but WITHIN ONESELF !

BALANCE IS AESTHETIC.
