Chanakya Dhan Niti ; Arthashastra !

Today we will explore the differences between Dana / Daan (Donation) and Dakshina (Fee).

This post is based on Chanakya's "Dhan Niti" which is a part of "Arthashastra".
Chanakya was the first Classical Economist of the entire world.

As per Chanakya :

Dana / Daan : Dana is the price which is paid by way of social duty.

Dakshina : Dakshina is the fee paid for services received.

Chanakya's explanation of Dana and Dakshina as a part of REDISTRIBUTION OF WEALTH.

To understand the difference between Dana and Dakshina we need to understand THE LAW OF NATURE.

WE ALL KNOW THAT AVERAGE COLLECTIVE CONSCIOUSNESS = GOD

LAW OF NATURE CAN BE EXPLAINED IN ONE WORD = BALANCE

For any service you provide :

DAKSHINA = AVERAGE MARKET PRICE FOR THAT SERVICE.

It is this price which one should CHARGE for the SERVICES DELIVERED no matter how high your INDIVIDUAL CONSCIOUSNESS is or how high your INDIVIDUAL SOCIAL STATUS is.

Example :

Average Market Price is 1X.

3X is the price charged for the services rendered.

3X minus 1X = 2X.

What is 2X called as ? DANA OR DAKSHINA ? Any Idea ?

As per Chanakya Dhan Niti ; 2X that is charged extra is called THEFT.

1X = DAKSHINA = FEES RECEIVED

2X = THEFT

As per Chanakya Dhan Niti ; 2X = Theft = Seizing another person's wealth.

You can RENAME this THEFT as STATUS OR HIGH CONSCIOUSNESS.

But how can a PERSON'S STATUS OR CONSCIOUSNESS be higher then NATURAL

LAW/GOD ?

When you fix a price which is higher than the average collective consciousness ; you are trying to POSITION yourself above the LAW OF NATURE.

Nature will stop providing resources-clients to such professionals and eventually they will some day close down their Business no matter what their occupation is.

This is "THE LAW OF NATURE".

The reason why i decided to write about this Topic is because not many people understand the meaning of Daan , Dakshina , and Bhiksha.

"Some professionals who wear a social mask and carry a false ego will not only fix their fees HIGH by 3X ; they will give you DISCOUNT on that stolen wealth 2X and call it BHIKSHA.

By charging 2X EXTRA they believe that the STATUS OF SERVICE PROVIDER WILL RISE and by making some one pay 2X EXTRA they believe that the STATUS OF SERVICE RECEIVER WILL LOWER".

To perform Daan you dont need to be FINANCIALLY RICH.

My Grandfather was a Guru Swamy and he took thousands of people to Sabarimala Temple and helped them experience Tat-Tvam-Asi as a Spiritual tour guide.

He did not fix any price as Dakshina.

Devotees gave him what they could afford as Dakshina. In that way Jnana Dana-Vidya Dana was being performed.

I , My Father or My Ancestors have not received Daan or Bhiksha from anyone nor did we seize anybody's wealth.We have lived only on DAKSHINA.

WE WILL CONTINUE TO LIVE ONLY ON DAKSHINA.

As per Chanakya :

Receiving Dakshina alone is related to Happiness.

Receiving Daan will not have any negative impact on Karma.

Seizing another person's wealth in the name of social status or higher consciousness will have a negative impact on your Karma and Happiness.

As per Chanakya ;

DAAN is not reserved only for the FINANCIALLY RICH. Each one of us have the opportunity to do DAAN no matter what our social status is.
