Thiruchitrambalam - The Stage/Hall of Consciousness and the Tevaram !

"Thiruchitrambalam" is a sacred spiritual utterance which largely has been uttered entirely in the Thillai Chidambaram Natarajar Temple located in Tamil Nadu.

Thevaram/Tevaram is the the 8th Item of Bharatanatyam Margam Syllabus.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tevaram
Every Tevaram should begin with the SPIRITUAL UTTERANCE - THIRUCHITRAMBALAM.
The dancer or the singer has to first utter the word "Thiruchitrambalam" before starting the Tevaram.
This is exactly what makes this Bharatanatyam Item very very Spiritual by nature.

Thiru = Divine
Chit = The very functioning of the Conscious and the Unconscious
Ambalam = Space / Sky / Stage / Space between the 2 Eye Brows

Thiruchitrambalam = The hall of Consciousness.

The word is metaphorically compared with the  HALL OF CONSCIOUSNESS inside the Chidambaram Natarajar Temple. It conveys that the MACRO and the MICRO are one and the same.

People believe that there is some EMPTY SPACE inside the Chidambaram temple, but the reality is that the "Garbha Griha" in Chidambaram temple is "EMPTY" that represents "SPACE - Akasha Lingam".

When the curtain (Approximate meaning of curtain is Maya)  is removed ; one can view the secret ; The secret is EMPTINESS.

Lord Natarajar is seen performing COSMIC DANCE inside the - "CHIT-SABHA" = "THE HALL OF CONSCIOUSNESS" OR "THE GOLDEN STAGE".
Dance of Supreme Bliss - Ananda Tandavam in the Thiruchitrambalam - Chit Sabha.
Original Arudra Darisanam Picture of Lord Natarajar from Tamil Nadu tourism.

The Chit-Sabha or the Hall of Consciousness has a golden roof that is made up of 21,600 Golden Platelets.
21,600 Golden Platelets =  21,600 BREATHS we take in a day as per YOGA.
Metaphorically it means "THE POWER OF THE STAGE CALLED LIFE IS BREATH".
Nothing is more POWERFUL than BREATH.

The Tevaram volume consist of POEMS praising Lord Shiva which was composed during the 6th -7th century.
These poems were  buried inside the Chidambaram Natarajar Temple which was later located by the Raja Raja Cholan in the 9th century.

TEVARAM  = POEM PRAISING LORD SHIVA.

A brief explanation of what Tevaram  is all about by a present day Spiritual Leader of India - Sadhguru.

In Part 2 Sambandar is praising the beauty of the city called Dharmapuram.
The city that has a deep ocean splashing bubbles of water droplets ; the city of honey bees with variety of flowers ; the city where the Cuckoo birds try to sing and the beautiful green fields that bloom like flowers.
Dharmapuram is the city located in Tamil Nadu where the  "Yazh Muri Nathar"  temple  is located. It is in this temple this Tevaram was being composed.
