If you can remember this Emblem that i introduce you all last year !
Yes you are right.... it is the Emblem of the Great " Royal Hoysala Dynasty " who ruled the present day Karnataka between 11th and 13th Centuries.
Lets explore Belur and Halebidu !
Belur is regarded as the Heaven of Earth.
All Hoysala temples are characterized by a typical star shaped Ground plan set on a platform.
Hoysala kings who ruled Karnataka were the patrons of art and architecture . Music and art was highly regarded by the Hoysalas.
This temple has a magnetic effect on me and hence i visit this temple again and again..
Ventilation
Beyond Imagination.
Amazing Architecture in full glory even after thousands of years!
The dance of Lord Shiva..
Animation started in 11th Century ..
I can visit this temple again and again...
A stylish principal is followed , more than war and romance it is the feminine beauty that is celebrated here
The sculptor brings the beauty of womanhood on stone.
In Karnataka "Shilabalike" is a word that is used to describe a beautiful woman.
Scientifically and aesthetically perfect .
It is said that King Vishnuvardhana's wife Shantala herself danced right in front of the shrine when the temple work began and all the figurines you see are inspired by her dance steps.

Intricacy ..all figures are life like....
You know that there are so many reasons to fall in love with Karnataka.
Extremely skilled craftsmanship
If you can look into the eyes of the sculpture, you can feel the thoughts and dreams that is existing inside the eyes of the sculpture ...An epitome of perfect beauty inspired by Queen "Shantala".
I can remember a popular song in Kannada which talks about " art or artist " which one is higher
The lyrics talk about the sculptures inside the Belur temple
The song is all about how the sculptures have come to life ...
The interpretation of the female part of the song.
These sculptures are singing and dancing everyday , every minute and every second right in front of Lord Keshava / Vishnu
Dance is a visual art and the visual impression of this dynamic art is seen in the sculptures ,
Sculptures have become life-like with dreams and thoughts and are sensually frozen in their dance movements and their anklets sound effect can be heard when you see them.
In short visual art called Dance has created life in the sculptures.
These sculptures are embellished to perfection and the art makes them perfect .
And then the Gentleman there in the video mentions about the sculptor who has created life in the art called dance .The Sculptor has captured Emotions and Sentiments inside the Stones and gave a new life to Stones.
He claims that art is useless and it is an artist who gives life to the art.
When art meets the right people ..now let me test who among you are right people?
Look into the eyes of a sculpture , can you see her dreams? can you hear the sound effect from her anklets.
They represent love ,devotion , dance and different sentiments if you take a closer look at them.
The secret India, seductress in stone.
The perfect dance posture , sensual ..
Different geometric and floral patterns
Incredible..Celestial dancers and divine beauty...
The place where womanhood is so much celebrated is the state called "Karnataka"
We love Karnataka.
The extravagant dance pose with elegance and a class by the sculptures
The best architecture that can be found anywhere in the world
Music and art was highly regarded by the Hoysalas
The geometrical designs of Gods , animals , horses , elephants , birds and humans is inspiring .
The magnificent stunning dance postures
This is the place which will surely take your breath away
I dont have any words to describe them , if you see them you will go dumb mesmerized by the beauty of these dancing sculptures
I can live here.
The construction of the temple began in 1116AD , when King Hoysala King Vishnuvardhana adopted Vaishnavism under the influence of Sri Ramanujacharya .
