Throughout most of my career i always sought advise from individuals that i admired
Today i want to talk about the individual who set a standard in my career , Masaki Konno San
A trusted coach and a guide!
Today i want to introduce you all to Masaki Konno San who was my mentor , my guide and my counselor , my career took a turning point under his guidance from 2012 after i got transfered to Tokyo
My Mentor who uplifted my career!
Such a great model and was a great supervisor
A Man who was 57 then and had 30 years of experience in Implementing Analytics for Top 10 Companies of the world .
Getting a chance to work with him was a blessing in Disguise, and in my entire life i would never get a chance to work with a Man like him .
His birthday cake which i decorated !
2012 to 2015 was a transitional period in my career!
I had already completed my 9 years in Analytics Industry in early 2012 when i got transferred to Japan to manage Analytics Implementation for my client in Japan and Korea until then i was managing ASEAN from Singapore
Moving to Tokyo was a challenge for me given the environmental conditions
If i look back it was the best decision that i ever made in my career
My Boss , yes he called me "Suri" and not Sree (Japanese version of Sree)
What i learnt from him was Strategy in Analytics
One of the most influential thing that i re-call him telling me "
Konno San : "Suri - No matter how many books you read , no matter how good your preparation for the client meeting is going to be , it would take less than 5 minutes for the client to interpret and understand your practical experience ,never over-estimate yourself , Learn to talk about the real time experience you have in Analytics and correlate your experience with client's business challenges ,that is all about effective presentation "
Konno San uplifted me at work place
I learnt from him how to be effective in client communication - my primary responsibilities eg. analytical modeling
My client who had a great respect for Konno San , gave great importance to every word i uttered only because i was mentored and trained by Konno San
We had in-depth conversation about solving client's business challenges ,he expanded my thinking explore new learning opportunities in the space of Analytics , helped me learn how to create powerful power point presentations
One of the things i learnt from Konno San was "how to apply Sigmund Freud Model to Customer Behavior Analysis"
After learning Analytics for 9 years , with the Guidance of Konno San i learnt how to apply statistics and math to Philip Kotler's Marketing Models , that was the turning point of my career!
The mentor who changed my career!
