Kotilingeshwara temple !

Located in the Kolar district of Karnataka , the temple has one of the largest Linga's of the entire world (108 feet tall)
about 6 km from Kolar Gold fields.

Shiva Linga has the male genitalia and it sits on the female genitalia representing the oneness of Lord Shiva and his consort Goddess Shakti .The union of male and female cosmic principals and the creation of the Universe.
An unbreakable union of the male and female is what Shiva Linga represents

The worship of Linga is very common in North India (Aryans) and not so popular in the South India.
In North India , Linga  is worshiped on the day of  Shivrathri as it is believed that on that day Lord Shiva married Goddess Shakti

In Kerala you will not find Shiva Linga , instead it is  believed that Lord Shiva was not only a good husband , but also a friend and companion to Goddess Shakti and Shiva himself  was a part of Shakti , hence Ardhanareshwara is worshiped in Kerala  , you will not find Shiva Linga anywhere in Kerala.
