I traveled to Guruvayur to seek his Blessing..His here means "Lord Krishna"
The deity here is said to be 5000 years old
Out of all the pilgrim centres , Guruvayur has been my favourite pilgrim centre.
The temple honours its unique customs and there are dress code .
one has to visit temple wearing a particular dress.

The heat did affect me but i did not mind it much,
Ekadasi the 11th day of lunar fortnight is considered to be the most auspicious day.
Vrishchika Ekadasi is the most promising.
It was on this day Lord Krishna is believed to have taught Gita(Bhagavad Gita to Arjuna).
Thousands of pilgrims swarm into this temple to seek Lord Krishna's blessing locally called as Guruvayurappan.
Guruvayur is considered to be one of the most important temples of South India.
A great feeling visiting ancient old Indian temples.
Lets go around Thrissur..

Paramekkavu Temple a temple for the consort of Lord Shiva , this one is about 1000 year old.
Vadakumnathan the oldest temple of south India ,Lord Shiva is the principal deity here
This is a 2000 year old hindu temple
