Tanabata ! A Colourful Tour!

Moshi Moshi.....
Once upon  a time in Japan there was a king and he had a daughter her name was "orihime" she was the  weaving princess
She was weaving kimono for the deities and was very hardworking,
Upon reaching the age king planned to wed her and found a suitable partner on the other side of the river who was a cow herd and was also very hardworking. His name was "Hikoboshi"
King arranged the marriage and both were wed .
After their wedding they forgot about their work and were fooling around,
The cows fell sick and kimono was shabby

Upon various complains about both of them king separated them and ask them to stay away on the opposite sides of the river
unable to see his daughter sad , he finally agreed that they could meet once a year and this day is celebrated as Tanabata Day
These 2 lovers became stars and Tanabata is called as star festival!

The city will be decorated ..
the first thing i noticed was that lanterns on the streets!
Around Asakusa Area-this street is called as "KappaBashi" and i visited here for the first time.

A short stroll away from Asakusa

These multi colours were mind blowing

Make Tanazaku and write your wishes and  hang them  on bamboo trees

You can write anything
A prince charming
A pet
Good health
Exam
Work
Anything ...
and the best part of the culture is that young kids  are encouraged to make wish and wish for hope .
Normally people lie and cheat when they lose hope.
Hope is a most important thing in life..

Time for parade!
There is music and parade and dance on the road.
There is a new life on the road..a colourful life!

And then sales on the street!

Now lets visit Asakusa my fav place in Tokyo!
Itaria! Everywhere!

As you wander the streets in Asakusa Temple area you find strange faces..

They told me:

"Iam gonna kill you"
"Iam rolling mad to kill you"
"Hehehe..i just want to keep similing...seeing him killing you"
"You......Get out from here....."

I told them:

"Please save me and help me i did not come to harm you
Iam your friend !"

Sales on the streets!
