JindaiJi the second Oldest Temple in Tokyo.

Second oldest temple after Asakusa.

Access - Keio Express will take you to Chofu station in 20 minutes from shinjuku and from Chofu BUS .14 will take you to Jindaiji Temple in less than 10 minutes
Make Sure that you are seated in the front close to the driver to admire the streets which are very similar to Kyoto Streets!


Edo period type of souvenir shops 


Restaurants around the temple are of edo period style and its tempting , one should atleast get in for a cup of tea. This area is not known for Buddhist or Shinto ! Its famous for Soba!

Ebisu (Left ) and Daikokuten (Right) are the 2 lucky Gods  in Japan! Hey Ebisu is a lucky God!

Thats Tengu ! Tengu is Mountain God! And the main offering for Tengu is i guess .....hmmm





Ok! Now lets visit Jindaiji Botanical Garden which is behind the temple which has 45,000 plants and one of the large scale garden of Japan!

The fishes inside the pond were very shy ! They dived deep inside whenever they saw me!



Sunshine , water and blue sky ! Made my Day!
