From the Book ! The First Incomplete Mis-Adventure!

A return to the next Hiking Session! Ready to conquer 3776 m.

Yes , Its almost a year after visiting Mount Fuji and now iam excited about its reopen in summer .
Waiting for a return to the next hiking session.

And yes this post is about my  second Mount .Fuji Trip  .
During my first hike I could make upto 8 station (3,450 m )and not beyond 8th station due to bad weather condition and altitude sickness.

Second time again -not blessed with a perfect climbing weather. We reached kawaguchiko station at 4pm and  began hike at around 6pm on a rainy day .

We are holding Beads in our Hands ! I will come back to what these Beads are later!

As we started we saw several people descending without a happy face , we knew we will  not be able to make it to the Top due to the heavy rain that started , but we wanted to give it a try !The trial was not crowded due to the heavy Rain.

We reached the 6th station inspite of the heavy rain . Heavy rain did not drop our confidence level .

We were fully wet!

Trial upto the next station was very difficult due to heavy rain!

With Clouds within our  reach and rain we were fully wet but  we reached 7th station-2700m.
The challenge started now it started pouring heavily and then there was lack of oxygen already it was highly impossible to continue the trail in the heavy rain , we decided to stop here! We did a Rain Dance!
Shine or Rain lolz...

Well the trip was made as a part of Beads of courage program . I went along with the representatives of Shine-On kids Japan which is a non profit organization for childhood cancer kids Japan.
Cancer is one of the main reasons of childhood death in Japan. Beads of courage is an art mixed with Medicine

Jean Baruch from United States while doing her PhD came up with a concept of Beads of Courage Program.Jean while doing her PhD  could not  face the disappointment   faced by the young cancer kids during every treatment that they underwent , and she came up with a concept of Beads of Courage. An art mixed with Medicine.

The Kids collect strands of beads representing every treatment - blood transfusion, chemotherapy, or simply blood draw that they undergo, in simple words every battle they win in life is represented by the Bead. Bead Collection brings a smile to their face after every treatment. Beads mark each step of their Journey a challenging  brave journey.

Its looks funny collecting these Beads but it’s the attitude that represents the greatest asset on any difficult road ahead; every Bead represents the courage that they have shown.

Shine-On Kids Japan  –is a wholly owned by the Shine-On Kids  US and all the facilities training and materials provided to the kids including the treatment is managed  by the United States of America, each Bead tells a story of hope!

Mount Fuji Challenge was a fund raising activity and we were given a Bead with us  to carry with us upon reaching  the top of Mount Fuji -This bead which we carry will then go to a cancer child undergoing treatment and this white bead is normally given to a child who conquered chemotherapy.

I got a White Bead - Yes its still with me as i could not make it to the Top!
The White Beads represents Chemotherapy.

I have this Bead saved in the my Note Book - The Incomplete adventure!

Yes Conquering that 3,776m is in  my list this year , but i would carry this Bead with me next time -and If  I can make it to the Top i will hand over this to a kid suffering from Cancer !
This is next Mis-Adventure iam look forward to !

Ganbatte!

Ready to conquer the sunshine..If I look around at the photographs of people who have conquered that 3776 m ,  All I could see in the Photo is Red everywhere , iam sure when the sun rose they must have felt that they have landed on Mars…

I cant wait for Summer for the return to the Hike ! Iam not sure if i can even make it to the Top!
This so far from discouraging only motivates !
