Yesterday (April 17th ) and the Day before (April 16th ) was the India New Celebrations at Singapore at a Place called Little India very close to Farrer Park where iam put up.
I had not planned to be a part of celebrations, but when I heard that Singapore Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew was the distinguishing guest at the venue I decided to enter the ground, certain things should be enjoyed the way it comes.
Mr. Lee said at the Speech that “The majority of the immigrants from India are skilled workers and professionals in finance, IT and R&D . “ It was nice to hear that he considers Indians to be well educated and Intelligent and bring new skills to their country.

I saw the Minister, and then I thought of leaving the place. But what made me stay back was the 15 Indian Associations who had put up stalls there, and displaying the Indian Culture, how could i miss that...
First I had been to our UNIQUELY MALAYALEE / KERALA Stall…..
Next our KARNATAKA VAIBHAVA …….My Next home town ....
Singhai Tamil Sangham...
Eppudu Telugu Matladi...
Then I was tired and went towards the stage to see the programs.
There were dance programs from various Indian Associations.
The Singhai Tamil presented an amazing song …….it was from the movie Sanghamam I guess..they played the title song….
I don’t think for the years to come, no Indian Association can replace the Tamil Sangham at Singapore, firstly the tamil crowd is very big here and they have established themselves very strongly.
Then came the Sindhi Association who presented the traditional Sindhi Wedding to the Singaporeans.
Yes its similar to south indian wedding they explained the meaning of three rounds led by the Groom at the wedding ceremony.
Then came the Punjabi Program…
COLOURFUL ….COLOURFUL COLOURFUL …YOU CAN FEEL INDIA IS COLOURFUL ONLY IF PUNJABI’s COME ON STAGE…
Sorry I was tired I came back and did not have to time to see other programs………so I cant write..
For Now have a nice day…………..
