Reflection of Childhood

Today I thought of writing something about my childhood ….when my worst enemies were my siblings, getting high meant swinging, the only competition I knew was a painting competition and the only thing that broke was TOY …When love meant only father and mother!
The girl who you are seeing in the photograph is me, soon after a big quarrel with my sister this photo was clicked and i could not even smile.
As a kid I never liked chocolates, ice cream, toys! I loved colours the most and then cats. I loved painting and most of my childhood days were spent on Painting Sketching, they say painting is an Art inherited, I had somehow inherited this art from my Mother.
I walked 2 miles each way to School, St.Mary's School an all mallus school. We were a gang of four & called ouselves as Fraud Mallu's I was never talkative in the classroom but i somehow loved pinching my class mates, when they screamed that made me laugh! and Next ....... stand on the bench "pinching -not allowed in the class room" Once i even mended a pencil very sharp and then placed it on of my class mate’s seat vertically through the divider of the seat so that when he sits it would hurt his bum. Friends are to fight with each other and for each other!
The next best thing i loved was cats .When i was in class 7 i got 2 cats home and nobody could sleep that night ..........I still love cats because of their very nature, ..they are very strategic by nature , a skilled predator......The teeth which they have is to kill, then rip and tear the flesh of their prey ...... to satisfy their carnivorous needs. They are very intelligent they observe first and then attack and they always win .....
Next ….When i was 13, my mom used to tell me that “now i had to stop painting and learn cooking! If I'd get married without cooking skills then my husband would send me back to my mother's house and that she cannot tolerate me anymore”
Fast forward about ten years (more than ten )and half serious/half joking conversations between some of my friends is about how lucky/unlucky our husbands will be because of our cooking skills , and they say my husband would be very unlucky ! Yes iam a bad cook!
Next..Exams!
I was never scared of Exams, but after exams I had to show the question paper to my father and then he would ask me to answer those questions ! Now that was the most difficult part! I never studied for exams but after exams i read the answers of all those questions mentioned in the Question paper before my father reaches home to answer them to my father.. I always wanted to impress my father that iam the best !
So…..
Have you started remembering your school days! Don’t you think though we have grown up now some of the small little things still exist in us.
Now iam like this ..................
Do you think you can still enjoy the childhood again with your kids, kids who will be your reflection!
Do share those small little things with me ………..
