Wearing the Culture
A Kerala women wear Mundum Neriyathum on the following occasions
1. Wedding day with Gold Border (Real Gold)
2. Temple Visit with artificial gold border
3. Attending a relative/ friend's wedding
4. Onam and Vishu
I love to be "On Fleek" meaning well groomed and love a wedding in Kerala Guruvayur.
Unmarried women wear green colour blouses and Married women wear red colour blouses

The Golden border is known as Kasavu
This golden border is made of Gold or Copper Plated
The lower part is known as Mundum and upper part is known as Neriyathum
Traditional kerala style Mundum Neriyathum can be purchased from Kalyan Silks Thrissur now also in Commercial street in Bengaluru.
While my mother is still interviewing potential grooms for marriage ; One of my dream is to buy my wedding "Mundum Neriyathum " from Kalyan Silks and get married in Guruvayur Sree Krishna Temple in Kerala.
